Museum of the Bargello

Located in one of the oldest palaces of Florence constructed between 1234 and 1346. The palace served as the podestá (first magistrate of the city) and bargello (police head) residence from XVI century to 1859. Its transformation to National Museum of Sculpture took place in 1865 and there, Giotto painted a fresco of the Final Judgement, at the present time, very spoiled. In their collections are works of great artists like Michelangelo Buonarroti, Cellini, Donatello, Michelozzo or Luca della Robbia.
