Barracco
Museum
The original building and the collection were donated
to the city of Rome by Baron Giovanni Barracco in 1902.
The original building was demolished in 1938 and the collection
transferred to its present location in 1948. Its collection
includes archaeological material of the Middle East, like
a head of Ramses II, Asirian sculptures, Hellenistic sculptures
and a series of copies of classic sculptures.
