Barracco Museum

The original building and the collection were donated to the city of Rome by Baron Giovanni Barracco in 1902. The original building was demolished in 1938 and the collection transferred to its present location in 1948. Its collection includes archaeological material of the Middle East, like a head of Ramses II, Asirian sculptures, Hellenistic sculptures and a series of copies of classic sculptures.
