Borghese
Galleries
The original collection of the Borghese Galleries came
from the collection of works of old and Renaissance art
of the Cardinal Scipione, among them the visitor can find
works of Giuseppe Cesari and paintings of Raphael and
Coregio. The collection was increased thanks to an inheritance
left by Olimpia Aldobrandini and collections of Cardinal
Salviati and Lucrecia d´Este.
