Wonderful example of the gothic style, was constructed
with materials from the colonies of the venetian republic.
But during the Renaissance the building changed with the
construction of the "Stairs of the Giants",
done by Antonio Rizzo and with the decorations of Lombardo.
It resumes a thousand years of history and is possible
to see paintings of Tintoretto, Tiziano and Veronese and
roam the prison where Casanova lived by some years before
escaping -it is said that it drank a cup of coffee in
the Caffé Florian before leaving Venice-.
